| News | July 2019 | Incorporation of two new partners in Spain |

Cases&Lacambra has appointed two new partners in its Spanish office to strengthen the Firm’s Corporate & M&A group: Lucas Palomar, who will be leading the group in Spain, and Bojan Radovanovic, who will be focused on the Corporate & M&A practice, as well as on Banking & Finance (in particular, on financings and debt restructurings). Lucas Palomar, with more than 25 years of experience in corporate law and mergers and acquisitions, and who has been leading the PwC Tax&Legal Transactions legal team in their Barcelona office, will be managing the Corporate & M&A group in Spain. These appointments are the result of our strategic commitment to strengthen the Corporate & M&A practice, one of the most competitive and international areas, with a great development in the market.

Lucas Palomar holds a Law degree by the University of Barcelona, an MBA and an Executive MBA by ESADE Business & Law School, and has more than 25 years of experience in the legal sector. Prior to joining the Firm, he led the PwC Tax&Legal Transactions legal team in their Barcelona office.

He has extensive experience in advising on transactional and negotiation processes, joint ventures, legal direction of buy-side and sell-side mandates, due diligence processes and LBO, MBO and build-up transactions for private equity and industrial players. He also has extensive experience in advising on corporate secretary legal affairs and in providing day-to-day advice on corporate and business law matters to Spanish and international companies. Besides his professional career, he has lectured in several ESADE’s programmes: he is currently a lecturer of M&A in ESADE’s Executive Masters in Finance/Corporate Finance (EMF), and has taught M&A, Transactions, and Corporate Law at ESADE’s MBA, Masters in Tax Consultancy and in Corporate Finance, and in the Law School at ESADE-Ramon Llull’s Univerisity.

Cases&Lacambra also welcomes Bojan Radovanovic, who holds a Law degree by the University of Barcelona and an Executive MBA by IESE Business School (University of Navarra). He has been a lecturer on Corporate Law and Mergers and Acquisitions at ESADE’s Masters in International Business Law. With almost 11 years of professional experience, he has spent his entire career at Uría Menéndez’s corporate and commercial practice group in their offices of Barcelona and Beijing.

His career has been focused on advising on Corporate & M&A and Banking&Finance matters. Bojan has advised both Spanish and foreign companies, investment funds and financial entities on mergers and acquisitions, company law and banking & finance. He has been involved in a number of financings and debt restructurings, most notably related to groups from the real estate, hotel, industrial and infrastructure sectors, advising both creditors and debtors. Moreover, he has broad experience in advising on complex transactions involving the sale and acquisition of companies and assets, advising both buyers and sellers, in competitive (i.e., controlled auctions) and bilateral M&A processes. A large number of such transactions have been cross-border M&A deals, with several jurisdictions involved, most notably in Europe, Latin America and Asia.

Strengthening our Corporate & M&A practice group entails taking a great step for a firm that has always been specialised and has progressively grown without losing our hallmark and identity. “Our mission is to become a key firm in business law but without becoming a multidisciplinary firm. Our commitment to our clients is to be the best in key groups, while being profitable,” co-managing partner, Miguel Cases, states. “We are building up our team by bringing the best talent, which will for sure contribute to our Firm’s growth within the next few years,” adds co-managing partner, Ernesto Lacambra.

After adding two new partners to its team, Cases&Lacambra is now comprised by 13 partners in 4 offices located in 3 jurisdictions.
