A State Attorney on leave of absence, he has more than 25 years of experience in litigation and arbitration and joins the firm together with lawyers Mario Gil and Enrique López.

Cases & Lacambra has appointed Ernesto Benito Sancho as a new partner in the Litigation and Arbitration practice in its Madrid office. His arrival strengthens one of the firm’s strategic practices and expands its capacity to handle complex litigation and high-value arbitration matters.

A State Attorney on leave of absence, Ernesto Benito Sancho has a professional career spanning more than twenty-five years in the fields of litigation and arbitration. Throughout his career, he has served as partner and head of Litigation and Arbitration departments at top-tier law firms, leading particularly complex matters in civil, commercial and administrative litigation, as well as in domestic and international arbitration.

Over the course of his career, he has also acted as arbitrator in numerous arbitration proceedings before leading national and international arbitration institutions, especially in sectors such as infrastructure, energy and telecommunications, as well as in disputes arising from M&A transactions and public procurement.

He has combined his professional practice with extensive teaching and sustained academic activity. His career has been repeatedly recognised by the main international legal directories.

The new partner joins the firm together with Mario Gil and Enrique López, lawyers with extensive experience in litigation and arbitration, who will become part of the Litigation and Arbitration team in the Madrid office, strengthening its structure and its capacity to manage complex proceedings.

According to Ernesto Benito, “my decision to join Cases & Lacambra reflects the opportunity to become part of a strong litigation practice, with a highly technical and international approach and a clear focus on complex, high value-added matters.”

For his part, Miguel Cases, Executive Chairman of the firm, stated that “Ernesto’s arrival not only significantly strengthens our Litigation practice, but also gives a decisive boost to our Arbitration practice, which is strategic for the firm. His background, experience and seniority fully match the partner profile the firm requires to lead the market in its main practice areas.”

With this appointment, Cases & Lacambra consolidates its position in Madrid and strengthens one of its strategic areas, aligning growth, specialisation and technical excellence within its broader project.
