Cases & Lacambra has appointed Víctor Ferreres Comella as the Firm’s new Of Counsel. He will combine this new role with his academic work, primarily as a Professor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and as a visiting professor at other institutions, including the University of Texas at Austin.
With a distinguished career that blends academic excellence, professional experience, and high-level legal practice, Víctor Ferreres’ arrival strengthens the Firm’s positioning in strategic legal advisory, particularly in matters with institutional and constitutional dimensions. His deep knowledge of in public and private law, as well as in international law and arbitration, will bring a cross-disciplinary perspective that will enrich the work of the Firm’s various practice areas.
Víctor Ferreres graduated in Law from the University of Barcelona and obtained his Doctor of the Science of Law (JSD) from Yale Law School. He has been a visiting professor at several universities in the United States, notably New York University and the University of Texas at Austin.
From 2001 to 2011, he served as a professor of Constitutional Law and European Union Law at the Judicial School of Spain’s General Council of the Judiciary, playing a key role in the training of judges, a contribution recognised in 2012 with the Distinguished Cross of the Order of Saint Raymond of Peñafort awarded by the Ministry of Justice. He is also the author of numerous leading publications in both Spanish and English. His research covers constitutional law, European Union law, and arbitration law.
Prior to joining Cases & Lacambra, Víctor Ferreres served as a consulting lawyer at Uría Menéndez, focusing on matters within his field of expertise.
