Cases&Lacambra incorporates Pablo Echenique as a new partner, based in its Madrid office, to continue its strategy of strengthening the Firm’s Corporate & M&A practice. With nearly 20 years of experience as an operations lawyer, Pablo will focus his activity mainly on energy, infrastructure and construction, sectors in which he has extensive experience.

Pablo Echenique holds a degree in Law from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and an LLM from the Instituto de Empresa de Madrid. He has nearly 20 years of professional experience. Pablo has spent part of his professional career at Uría Menéndez, where he specialized in commercial law (with special emphasis on the infrastructure and financial sectors) and at Abengoa, a company in which he worked for around 7 years as General Counsel. He has recently managed the General Counsel in Spain for Alfanar Energy (a subsidiary of the Saudi conglomerate Alfanar Co.).

Throughout his career, Echenique has been involved in numerous complex transactions in Latin America, Europe, Israel, the United States, China, South Africa, India and the Middle East. Pablo was recognized as a leading individual in the first list of corporate lawyers in the Iberian market published by The Legal 500. He is lecturer of Business Law at IE University and has participated in teaching programs at Georgetown University (Washington DC).

The arrival of Pablo Echenique to the Cases&Lacambra team represents a strengthening for the Corporate and M&A practice, key in the Firm’s strategy, which seeks to reinforce its advisory capacity in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
