At the end of September, the Spanish Government announced the creation of a new solidarity wealth tax on high-net-worth individuals.
Last November 10, the Socialist Parliamentary Group and Unidas Podemos presented an amendment to the Proposition of Law for the establishment of temporary taxes on the energy sector and on credit institutions and financial credit establishments, by means of which they propose the creation of the solidarity wealth tax on high-net-worth individuals.
The objectives of this new Tax are, on the one hand, to increase tax collection, in a period of energy crisis and inflation, and, on the other hand, to harmonize the taxation of assets among the Autonomous Communities.
